Stephen is a Chartered Accountant and has been since 1990. Having spent nearly 20 years working for other people and generally not enjoying it his life hit a nadir in 2007 with an unpleasant divorce. Two years of very dark days followed but having ‘got it together’, Stephen set his own accountancy practice up with the help and support of his new wife Allison, and so far, has not looked back.
Meeting Paul Lowe at one of the latter’s characteristic charitable events – taking 30 or so less–privileged children to watch Notts County Football Club – reinforced in Stephen his desire to make some difference, no matter how small, in other’s lives.
Stephen looks to use his skills and experience to help small businesses get started and to grow and does so with genuine interest in what they do. He is never too busy to take a call and must be the closest the accountancy profession has to a counsellor!
Stephen is proud to know Paul, and to be able to help him in his mission, whilst at the same time learning from Paul a whole new way of looking at his own life.
