A gentle reminder, they are from English metaphysical poet John Donne (1572-1631), and convey the message that none of us – despite how grand and self-important we may think we are – can truly be self-sufficient; everyone must rely on the company and comfort of others in order to thrive.
This seems to be a point that Gandhi reminds us of…
So what’s the ‘solution’? In a word – partnerships.
Not in a co-dependent or unfairly biased way, but rather in a mutually-beneficial collaborative approach. This is certainly something World Game-Changers continues to build from, as it continues planting the seeds for change. Of course, partnerships come in many different dynamics.
Generally speaking, isn’t it true that whilst our ego may want to boast about a well-known brand, organisation or individual we may be associated with, the simple truth is, the power of the partnership(s) will always be held together by the strength of peoples’ relationship(s)?
